VTT has a long history on supporting the electrification of the logistics transport through solutions, tools, knowledge and expertise coving broad areas from vehicles architecture, charging infrastructure and system level design of transport systems. While BELOGIC is a step forwards in our own research, it will contribute also to the advancement of clean transportation and optimization of the logistics operations through novel digital solutions, that could be translated to our partners in Finland and abroad.

VTT will support the pre-demonstration activities, taking active role in verifying all practical arrangements for demonstrations. VTT and the partners will define timelines, responsibilities, coordination mechanisms, and required tools, fleets, and infrastructure. In addition, through its cutting-edge digital simulation platform VTT Smart eFleet will create virtual pilots of all demonstration cases, to pre-assess their feasibility, potential bottlenecks and implications on the operations, recharging of the vehicles and etc. taking into account the real operational environments.
